Payment Terms & Fees
Last updated 2026-10-13
Effective date: 13 October 2026
These Payment Terms explain how money moves on GrooVVee: what buyers pay, what creators and sellers earn, how withdrawals work, and the fees involved. They are part of the Terms of Service (https://groovvee.com/terms).
1. Our payment processor
Card payments on GrooVVee are processed by Stripe. GrooVVee never sees or stores your full card number. Stripe's own terms also apply to payments and payouts.
2. What buyers pay
- Every card payment on GrooVVee shows Stripe's card processing fee as its own line at checkout, added on top of the price. This applies to movies (purchase and rental), concert tickets, paid streams, songs and podcast episodes, shop products, subscriptions, AI wallet top-ups and ad balance top-ups.
- The card fee is worked out from Stripe's standard price (2.9% + $0.30 per payment), so that the full price reaches the seller, the wallet or the balance.
- For subscriptions the card fee is part of the monthly charge.
- The checkout page always shows the exact total before you pay. Amounts are in US dollars; your bank or card provider may add its own currency conversion or foreign transaction fee.
3. What creators and sellers earn
- GrooVVee keeps a service fee on each sale, currently 30% of the price. You earn the rest, currently 70%. Example: a $10.00 movie earns you $7.00.
- Because the buyer pays the card fee, it normally costs you nothing. If Stripe charges more than the card fee the buyer paid (for example for a foreign card or a currency change), only that difference is taken from your share.
- Every sale in your Earnings history shows the price, GrooVVee's fee and any Stripe fee taken from you.
- GrooVVee may change its service fee. A change applies to sales made after it, and we will tell you in the app before it applies.
4. Ads
- Money you add to your ad balance goes in full; the card fee is added on top at checkout.
- Creators earn a share of the revenue from ads shown on their content, as shown in Advertising and Payments.
5. Withdrawals
- You can withdraw your available earnings once they reach the minimum shown on the Payments page.
- Withdrawals sent automatically by Stripe have Stripe's payout fee (0.25% + $0.25 per withdrawal) taken out; you receive the rest. The withdraw screen shows what you will receive before you confirm.
- Withdrawals by bank transfer, mobile money, PayPal or Wise are paid by hand, usually within a few working days. Your bank or provider may charge its usual fees for receiving money.
- The amount is put on hold as soon as you ask, so it cannot be spent twice. If a withdrawal is rejected or cancelled, the money returns to your earnings.
- Your name must match the account you are paid into. We may ask you to verify your identity before paying.
6. Refunds, chargebacks and fraud
- Tickets and paid content are for personal use. Refunds are handled case by case; contact [email protected].
- If a payment is refunded, disputed (a chargeback) or found to be fraudulent, the earnings from it can be reversed, and Stripe's dispute fee may be taken from the seller's earnings.
- GrooVVee may hold or cancel earnings and withdrawals connected to fraud, rule violations or illegal activity.
7. Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes on what you earn on GrooVVee. Prices shown to buyers may include or exclude taxes depending on where they live.
8. Fees can change
Card and payout fees are set by Stripe and can change. We will update these Payment Terms when they do.
